Hi Good people of Vegtopia!
The moon riseth and the moon sinketh. But we stay right where we are. And the vegetables grow and we all yearn for the day spring vegetables kick in and we can wave goodbye to the winter soups and stews. "Never fear" the farmer says. For we are busy at work on the land planting, tending, sowing and growing. Early the earth men rise to scare away the birds with keen eye we see for as trouble is never far away. From the darkness asparagus is starting to show and very quickly now does the rhubarb start to grow, broad beans stand tall and garlic take center stage whispering "cook me with sage".
Farmer Carl is away so Tea our Italian friend is looking after the side stall on Friday. The same fair as last week. Look out for the new spring onions there so hot right now. Also Broad bean tips are to be relished. Beetroot Parsnips kales potato parsley broccoli salad mix chard oranges limes mushrooms apples and more!!
