Hi Farmers blog loving folk
Well at times like these its good to stay present focused intently on whats in front of us. For me this time of year I become consumed with the months ahead days of planning and preparation and weeks of hard toil all in readiness for the upcoming spring summer season. I have all these delicious little seedlings growing and as I look around there is a smorgasboard of vegetables that I get hungry and exitdly impatient about. Pumpkins, zuccini, tomatoes, eggplant, corn, beans etc etc growing with enthusiasm. So its time to re focus and enjoy being in the moment.
'What does that mean' you ask? I found some potates 'dutch cream' fried them with Broad Bean tops, broccolini, spring onion and spring Garlic with some fresh tumeric, Avenel mushrooms and a dolop or two of sour cream on top of quinoa with some Japanese style fried egg. And miraculously I had forgotten about the future and was absorbed enjoying the moment with a great seasonal fresh home cooked lunch.
In the photo series we have photos of the new salad bar, formative broad beans, and to die for garlic shoots.
I am at Hawthorn farmers market on Saturday and we have the side stall tomorrow.
Look forward to seeing you there!
